The Tatooine Terminus — A Private Archive of Vintage Kenner & Palitoy Star Wars toys.

The Tatooine Terminus is a private collection of original vintage Star Wars toys and associated material, documenting the Kenner and Palitoy toy lines from 1977–1989.

Built over more than 30 years, the collection currently comprises more than 200 items, including boxed vehicles, creatures, playsets, carded figures and other original examples.

Particular emphasis is placed on the British and European history of the Star Wars toy range and Palitoy’s role in bringing the original Star Wars products to British children.

The collection has been assembled with an emphasis on originality, completeness, condition and historical context. No reproduction parts are included in the collection.

Alongside the toys themselves, the archive includes period advertising, packaging, instructions, decals and other material that helps place the objects within the history of Star Wars, the British toy industry and popular culture.

The collection is available for discussion with museums, cultural institutions and other appropriate organisations interested in exhibitions, loans, research or the preservation of vintage Star Wars and British toy history.
